Pure synthetic is the only way to go IMHO!!

The MoCo will never recommend any oil that they don't sell in house or have formulated, you pay a premium price for their synthetic/dino blend,,,,,,, however one thing I can clear up on the oil issues and you can take this to the bank is this,,,,,, any oil in your engine is better than no oil in your engine, the never ending oil debates continue!!!

Redline heavy duty shockproof in my 07 Ultra at 2500 miles, IMMEDIATE better shifting, neutral easier to find,no unusual noises. Learned about it here, love it.

Just did service at 28k have been running ams 75-90 since 1000 mile service. Due to having hard time finding ams 75-90 used Valvoline 85-140 only about 125 miles but seems to be way smoother less clunk and shifts smoother.

I only use Full Syn for every vehicle I own and especially the ones that have a tendency to sit for prolonged periods of time. Full syn lubricates better than normal oil..It also remains on the part longer and gives it a better, longer lasting coating which helps the parts last longer. It is a bit more expensive but these are expensive machines. If I drove it every day of the year, I might be more inclined to use regular oil and just change it more often. Basically the reason to use oil is to lubricate and full syn does that better. Just no getting around that fact.
