sore butt
1) more time in the saddle helps develop the all-important "iron butt" cheeks, and
2) try a different seat - I got a Mustang
3) try different underwear - like UnderArmor's, you can't feel the seams in them and the fit and comfort is amazing. I'd wear em all the time if they weren't $20 a pair. But for biking, they are worth every penny.
4) try a loose fit blue jean, stay away from the snug ones.

I had a Mustang on one of my old bikes and loved it. I need a low seat for my new 09 SG. I like the Regal but think it will sit me up too high as the stock seat does. Does anyone know if the Vintage Solo is comfortable or how it compares to the HD Sundowner seat? I am using the HD Reach Seat now but it's a bit hard on my butt after an hour or so.
Thanks in advance.
Thanks in advance.
Another plug for meancitycycles.com. I went from about an hour on my stock road king seat to 4 hours until the pain hits. Only so much you can do with a stock seat. On the way back from Daytona to Atlanta I wished I had the sundowner seat. I just like the low profile look of the stock seat.
Try an Air Hawk cushion.

Mustangs are good...mine was good for about 350 miles, then OUCH...but better than the stock. Truth is though, I could go longer and futher with the stock w/o the backrest
than with mustang with backrest, but then the lower back began to be a problem. A guy I know who tops 300 lbs uses the Airhawk cushion and logged a few 700 mile days on a trip out west last year, on a DEUCE...not a touring bike.
Just put a mustang solo/backrest & passenger pillon on my ultra. Made the ride home from Daytona a lot better, still started huring a bit close to the 400 mile mark but overall much better than the HD seat
