Mustangs are good.
Daylongs are better.

In response to Badbagger's post, Mean City Cycles said that for the 08 and espcially the 09's, the had to reconfigure the seat pan so there is not as much to work with especially for lowering, but i watched them cut almost all the stock foam out and then cut to fit and insert the memory foam (hospital grade 5.5lb) and recover the seat. they did a better job of recovering the seat (stretching) then it was from the factory. As i posted before, well worth the $100.00.

Default look at it differently

Buy great suspension and you do not need a seat option other than to take out padding and no I am not kidding. You have your choice.

Redo the seat for minimal expense and it should help.

I had a mustange on my Kawasaki Vulcan and it was good for about a two hour ride (my Harley seat is better). I had a Corbin on my Honda Shadow and could ride all day, but they are a little pricey.

My 08 seat is stock and very comfortable. I don't use a backrest other than what's built in the seat and I have a messed up back. I just shift body position, like sitting really straight for awhile then leaning back, feet on highway pegs and keep my body loose while riding. That and some more riding milage could do it without investing money into a seat that may or may not work. JMO.

I put on a sundowner seat on my 08 EGS. One of the best(probably the best)seat I've ever owned and reasonably priced as well. I've had Corbin, Mustang and Ultimate.

Thumbs up

I had the same problem. I now ride long distances with a Butt Buffer. It's a gel pack and seems to work well for me. I can usually go 2 hours with little problem and sometimes 2-1/2 hours. Their website is buttbuffer.com.
