Default Shorty antenna

Anyone try the shorter antennas sold on ebay? Have a 99 with the whip antennas, would like to find something that looks more streamlined.

They have two for around $27, free shipping. Think I'll try them out.

I tried the short CB antena replacement that HD sells for my SG radio. Doesn't work great for the radio unless I am holding it, which is not too safe.

I just bought the J&M 2009 short antennas, paid 54.00 for 2, look nice but I have noted problems on FM stations that were not a problem with the longer stock antennas.

I cut my stock whip down, free, works well enough for me.

I put a powered antenna from one of the auto stores in my fairing and eliminated the whip entirely. Plugs right into the back of the radio, spliced into the cigarette lighter for power, works great!
