Modulating Brake Light
I would check the individual state(s) where you routinely ride. My state law has language that appears to allow it. I would at least argue my point in court, if necessary.
(4) Flashing lights are prohibited except on an authorized emergency vehicle, school bus, snow removal equipment, or on any vehicle as a means for indicating a right or left turn, or the presence of a vehicular traffic hazard requiring unusual care in approaching, overtaking or passing.
Plus one on the signaldynamics.com back off flasher. I have had it on 2 harley Ultras for 5 years with no problem with the LEO's and no jerk hitting me from behind. The new one handles the LED and standard breaklights on the tourpak. Best $35 I have spent.
Thanks for all the thoughts. I will be looking at the websites to see which brand to buy. What got me interested this was seeing the flasher on another bike's brake light and noticing how big of a difference it made on visability. I thought the tour pack led lights would be a little higher and easier to see. Thanks for all the input.
