I agree with bigtwin88-66 you didn't say where you were at location by ocean or mid-west but keep it waxed and it will be fine I would suggest a rain proof cover that breathes when it is under cover

 

I have a walmart cover and I don't think its water proof, but I have a carport. I would use the wooden platform and get a water proof cover. Check the bike dailey and keep the moisture off of it. It would help if we knew what part of the country you were in. Put the platform in the shade if possible.
