I love my Big Radius but I wouldn't run them without baffles. You will lose power and it sounds horrible when you let off the throttle. If you want them to be extra loud without the negative sides of running without baffles, get the Thunder Monster Baffles from Big City Thunder. The power is good and the sound is amazing. With the BCT Thunder Monsters, you get pretty close to the sound of running without baffles but no fluttering sound when you let off throttle. I wouldn't run any other pipe combination if someone paid me to.
If you have the Big Radius pipes and Stage one, and SE Tuner and install Thunder Monster Baffles do you have to re-dyno after installing the Thunder Monster Baffles?
No you don't as long as your bike was tuned for the pipes that you are installing them on. My bike was tuned for the Big Radius pipes with stock baffles. But runs better now with the Thunder Monster baffles without being re-tuned. The first sentence on this post is what the representative from Big City Thunder told me and from how my bike is performing now, is an accurate statement.
You will lose torque, as well as have decel backfire issues, if you run without the baffles. Torque cones can help a small bit, but I think you will still regret running without the baffles.
Unfortunately, the Powercommander V is for the '09 models ONLY. I have the Thundermax on my '07 SG, and I absolutely love it. It's a closed loop fuel system, which compesates for changing conditions. It targets the air/fuel ratio coming out of the engine rather using a static "map". I never think about my fuel injection when I make changes to my exhaust, air cleaner, or engine. It's nice.
