QQ's here. They sound great on my Big Radius. Deeper sound then the original BCT's but not much quieter.

Not really. I don't think you can feel a difference by changing baffles.

I'm on my second set of QQ's. Had a set with my factory headers and again when I went to TD's. I love them! Loud, deep, and keeps back pressure where it should be.

If you are running straight pipes right now you should notice a difference. If you will be pulling the baffles that came with the mufflers to install these I don't expect there to be a performance difference.

If you want loud, you'll love the sound of the BCT's.

Sounds like you'll get what you want with the BCT's. I say get the QQ's. The name is misleading as they are still EXTREMELY loud. They are actually the same baffle as the originals with a cone on the end. You could take the cone off if you really wanted to.

Also, if they are too loud, and mounted at the end of your headpipe as I expect, you can put your original baffles back in and start cutting them down till you find your sweet spot. Once the BCT's are in they take care of all the back pressure so anything after is just sound.

Hmmm, I have the HD stock pipes with cat & baffle removed from American Custom and installed the Thunder Monsters. I personally feel the pipes are FAR to quiet as shipped from American Custom. Yes it sounded deep and throaty as American Custom states but very quiet compared to many other Harley's BUT since there was no baffles and I wanted that back pressure to maintain my torque and power I added in the TM's. Funny how I was told they would be TOO loud, HUH? Not much louder than stock from American Custom. Next to other Harley's I get drowned out. They might sound great but not loud at all. I can cruise at 20mph or 80mph and clearly hear my stereo as the pipes DO NOT drown out the sounds. For that I am pleased with them not being loud but American Custom and Thunder Monsters both claimed LOUD and I have yet to see either loud

By the way I riding a 2014 Street Glide Special if that makes any difference to the OP.

I have had several style pipes on different bikes.
Fact is they do what they say and they sound
Good, especially in straight pipes.

Hey Lou→I'd like you to clarify some things please. You said cat & baffle removed from stock pipes. Something about the way you said that makes it sound like you think the baffles are in the head pipes? Like you sent American Custom your head pipes to have them de-catted and de-baffled? You didn't send your cans (mufflers) in to American Custom as well did you? Head pipes DO NOT come with baffles. I've got a funny feeling you have de-catted headers and factory cans that still have the baffle in them. That when you added BCT's they were in addition to the baffles already in your cans. Meaning you had two sets of baffles installed at the same time. If that is the case it is no wonder you think your Harley is quiet and it's got nothing to do with BCT.
