Default Metzeler 140/70-21 me880

My brother told me yesterday that he read about Metzeler coming out with a 140/70-21 for baggers. I don't know if they are available to the public yet, but I just wonderring if anybody has seen one on a bike yet and if you have what's your opinion of it. If someone has a picture of one on a bike, could you please share it with me.

it will be too tall to fit under a stock fender so i dont know how popular it will be, but cool they are trying something new.

Default My 2010 Dyna Wide Glide with 140/70/21 front tire !!

Here is a picture of my 2010 Dyna Wide Glide with the Metzeler 140/70x21 front tire. I have a custom front wheel from HD Wheels 21x3.5 with double disc front brakes and fork lower tubes from a Fat Bob. The front fender is also Fat Bob but it had to bracketed 2 inches.

After two years of beach sun, sand, and salt, dry rot is cracking the sides. Tire is very hard to find, still waiting for mine since inquiring 3 weeks ago.
Metzeler tire is very big compared to stock wheel of course, but handles great. I am able to to NYC bumps and potholes easy

Subscribing, somebody's going to find a way to fit this on a bagger, and I want to see how they do it.

Not hard to fit on a bagger, but not clear many would want to. I have seen at least one pic on this forum of a bike that has it. Maybe 2? It has a lot of side wall so not too sexy in that respect. You need a bigger fender. I think one for a 23". You also have to lower the front suspension quite a bit. 2" inches I think. On a positive note it has an incredible load rating.

I was thinking about this tire for a while b/c I don't think the 120 70 21 is a good choice. I've given up on it. Diameter is just too much for a daily rider. If it's not a daily rider the 120 is acceptable or even go 23". Metzler should have done a 130 60 21 instead.

Somebody (my guess is Dunlop) is now making a 130/60/21- 63H ..... cuz thats what comes on the front of the new 2013 CVO softail breakout

I'm thinking this would be a NICE option for the Bagger Boys
