I tried to use the manual and found after you twist the thottle and the cruise light is red let the throttle go back and wait a few seconds then twist it again and it should go green to let ya know the mode is set.

Needs to be hot, in neutral, not moving. If it doesn't come on automatically, twist the grip past the closed throttle position. If that doesn't work, it is not hot enough.

I have mine on all the time. During the summer months I feel/hear the rear cylinder shut down while at red lights. It never has affected the operation of the bike. It is controlled by the ECM, and the only control the rider has is to set The system on/off. Can't see why anyone would want to turn it off though, it good insurance to protect Your motor.

True but as cballweg points out below, you also need to be stationary. If the bike is moving at all, the system won't activate.

All true except the neutral part. The system doesn't care if the tranny's in gear or not. If the engine is hot enough, at idle, and the bike is not moving, it'll cut out the rear cylinder even if you're still in gear.

I don't think I've ever been in neutral when mine cut out!

Green light means it is activated and will automatically disengage the rear cylinder when the engine is running, and hot and the scoot is not moving. It is seamless according to the manual, however I found that it is easier to take off from a light if you blip the throttle before you engage the clutch, this allows the rear cylinder to start firing again. Yeah Yeah I know it will start firing all by itself with out having to blip the throttle, I do not like the initial lack of power on take off.
