Default Saddlebag Guard Bags

Considering these for my 08 Ultra as an alternative option to Windshield bags.

I need a bag of sorts that is readily accessible, ideally whilst riding, easy to operate with gloves on, to put things like my sunglasses in.

So, key questions are:

Can these be accessed / operated safely whilst riding?
Do they get in the way of pillion's legs?

I have the left side one with the water bottle on my bike.
It's easy enough to work with when riding alone , but is easier with the passenger floor board in the down position.
I can reach the bottle with the wife on , but she would have to move her foot to get to the flap pouch portion of the bag.
We generally use it while stopped for her sunglasses and the water bottle.
We like it for this purpose.

I have one on each side of my RKC and they are pretty handy. I've never tried, but I think they'd be accessible while riding. The only thing about my situation is that I have a no-wives-allowed seat and have taken off the passenger floorboards, that might make a difference as stated above.

I have both but I can only access the water bottle while riding since it's just a slip in and out. To access the bags you need to have the passenger floorboards down, lift the velcroed flap which is a bit long, and then push down the zippers. I'd need to reach down too low to get to the flap and open the zippers and the movement would throw off my steering and/or balance. The bottle is easy since it's higher.
I'd suggest the windshield bag or a small tank bag.

Great response, thanks - exactly the info I was after

I am after the T Bags windshield bags ideally but a nightmare sourcing from the UK
