Default Garmin hard wire plug question

I have the Nuvi 550, what can I use to "cap" the plug (small USB) on my hard wire, when I am not using the GPS.

I checked with Radio Shack, Best Buy, and Garmin. No luck.
Thanks.

Are you using the Cigarette charging plug? That's what I am using too, plugging into the small USB on the side. (Garmin 660). I normally let the cord hang in the cradle if the GPS is not attached or I sometimes just pull the plug and stow it in a glovebox.

I went to my local auto parts ( Car Quest) and bought a connector that looks like the battery tender plug, wired it to the hot & ground extra wires to the headlight..routed the wire through the clutch cable hole in fairing and up to the mount. I leave it hanging when not using the GPS, no issues.
Make sure you wire the HOT wire to the rubber protected side of the connector.
I did this so I can swap the GPS from bike to bike to car to truck...works for me.

i dug through some stuff in the garage and found a rubber vacuum cap like we used to use to plug vacuum ports on carbs. should have them at any auto parts store.
