The extensions are nice, even if you aren't burning your britches. I just installed mine last week, and I'm trying to figure out how I rode without them. Contact Tom at http://harleygoodies.com/ . He's a forum member and forum sponsor here too. He's got a satisfaction garanteed deal. If you don't like them for ANY reason, you get a full refund. You can't go wrong there.

Tom here from Harley Goodies. Definitely get the floorboard extensions. I would also suggest a full exhaust system to cool it down a bit with a power commander or a sert. Overpants are a great idea too, or just change pants when you get to work. We offer a discount for forum members too. Click the banner below.

Floorboard extensions and chaps, much more economical than true duals.

You don't have cats, for sure.

1) Chaps
2) 1" Floorboard extensions (Soos 1" is what I have, but Harley Goodies are also good)
3) Open lower vents fully open
4) Batwing adjustable vents fully open

I have 103" Stage III w/BUB 7 True Duals on mine and I haven't had any heat issues...

If you are burning your pants where the pipes come together, then I assume it is when your feet are down at a stop. I would suggest lowering the rear so you can move your feet away from the bike more while still feeling stable.

Sorry, I forgot to read where you were from You do not have a cat.

Tuck your pant leg into your boots.

My wife gave me a pair of these http://www.leatherlegs.net a few years ago. They worked just fine. I got caught in a huge rainstorm while crossing Montana and they got soaked. I put them next to the radiator in the flea bag motel I stayed in to dry. The next morning I packed up and did not remember that I put them out of sight near the heat to dry. Some motel maid in Montana has a nice pair of half chaps. I called but no one turned them in.

I bought my floorboard extensions from Soos and am really happy with them.
