Supertrapps or Vance and Hines Ovals
Well I'm hoping someone has managed to install some supertrapps on their flht and I've read a few posts on the Vance&Hines oval slip ons. I've had Supertrapps on my older Hondas and I really like the ability to change them for torque and the sound. But I see that they've definately gone nuts with the pricing since I was looking into the slash megaphone slip ons at $509.00 I really like the sound of the Ovals though since it's more deeper and not too much racket at interstate speeds. Plus I like the cost factor of the True Duals that V&H make since eventually I'll upgrade to the dual pipe setup. Thanks for the help since I know the exhaust issue is a definite preference choice.

I did the SuperTrapps internal baffled slip-ons. I get to control how loud by changing the disc count. After too many evenings playing with the disc combinations I got the best results with 10 on the left and 14 on the right. I also did not want real loud pipes. Most others are too loud for my ears. No discoloring so far.

RE: Supertrapps or Vance and Hines Ovals
I'm using Supertrapps on my 95 inch FLHTC. Love them. Good sound, looks and you can do 300-400 mile days without hearing loss. I use the 12 pack of disks in each pipe, and no problems thus far. I originally used SE slip-ons and they worked and sounded great. Then I added a sidecar and they would echo between the car and bike making a 100 mile ride very annoying. Just too much noise. Plus after the Trapps were on, performance picked up as well. Expensive but great none the less.
