The kit from HD isnt, but the upgrade is. you could see 20-30+ HP/TQ depending on what you match it up with. Check out PhilM's dyno numbers (in the dyno bagger thread above) 100/100 with 95" flat top pistons, D&D fatcat, and TW36 Andrews Cams.
I would say that is worth it....but getting the kit from HD isn't....

Skyday, personally, I did the HD "Kit", $2300 bones for 95HP/100TQ and NO head work. Phil did his own labor which is great, IMO. Wish I could, but have bigger fish to fry Monday through Monday. Personally, do not have the time to wrench and like a warranty intact on a 20K +++ bike. Not trying to create a pissing match but I spent $2300 for the build, dyno, service and pipe install...........Money well spent IMO to only be 5 HP behind with warranty & no head work. Just my 30 cents.
Even if you don't get the numbers listed above, it is worth it. All baggers should come with 95" stock. Gives passing ability & 2up power. Still very rideable. Can't go wrong.
If you are a HP Junkie, need to research your choices to get max bang for buck. If you just want to pass safely & have some "get up & go"...you won't be disappointed with HD conversion.
I agree. There is nothing wrong with the HD 95" kit. You WILL see a noticable improvement in power and be able to feel it the first time you twist the throttle.
103 is right, all baggers should come with them. but.... look at all the $$$ they make after the sale! [8D]
The HD kit is not worth the money. Tell a good mechanic what you want and are willing to spend. They will recommend a setup of the various parts you need from mild to wild.
