I use it lightly. Letting the paste do the job. I make sure my application with a cloth is always clean and damp and my pressure is very light. You mentioned you followed their directions. I just know from my experience. How to it works best for me.

Hey guys I'm new to Harley, and this was one of my concerns. I had rented a few HD's over the years and that was my only complaint (the heat). I am interested in these and would like to know ho they compare to harleys part #58022-07a $58 at zanotti's

Here look at this thread - The ABC’s of Removing Rider Heat

Even though the tests are done on a Tri-Glide. Which incidentally does run hotter than your scoot. The deflectors used were RJS's and the HD's.

I wanted to make sure I shared my experience with RJS Originals, Inc. I first met Bob online back in 2003 when I purchased my 2003 Electraglide Classic. Living in Memphis, TN, the heat coming off that road and engine can really heat up those thighs. I had ZERO regrets of purchasing a set of his V-Twin Heat Deflectors. I had them on for 8 years before I sold my bike. It’s April 2022 now and getting back onto the saddle down in St. Augustine, FL. After riding an hour, I knew exactly the first thing I needed to add and that was another set of RJS Originals, Inc V-Twin Heat Deflectors. I messaged Bob last night and he replied this morning stating he still makes them. I’ll be placing my order for a set of his V-Twin Heat Deflectors for my 2015 CVO Street Glide with him again. If that isn’t a statement of quality and great customer service, I don’t know what to tell you. I DEFINITELY recommend anyone getting a set of V-Twin Heat Deflectors from RJS Originals, Inc.
