Anytime you open the motor you are risking some issues. IMO the rewards outweigh the risks.
Screw it do a 110

yeah but for a 110" dont ya have to split the cases? 103 is just all in the top half.

Very happy with the 103" kit on my '08 Road Glide. Over 30k miles on it without a single problem!

Stage II 103" with compression releases as a precaution. No tuner, just an ECM flash. No problems at all. Runs strong and I've never had to use the CRs even once. Oh yeah, and my warranty is still intact.

The 103 is a great set up if any engine is set up correctly you should have no issues. Since you havent spent your money yet, I would do the 107. Not much difference from a 103 but why not go as big as you can with out case boring. Have your barrels bored out, good set of heads with compression releases and nice cam, and also a good pipe like a d&d boss. I would also use the new power commander pc-v with a good dyno tune or Auto Tune.

That will get you well over 110hp and 115 tq ( alot will depend on your cam choice)

I'm not looking for monsterous power, just a little more than what the 96" has. I appreciate all the responses. What is the best source for the 107"?

Not offered by the MOCO. Some sources to get you started though. All great folks, and would be more than happy to speak with you at length via phone or in person if your close.

107 is a bolt on kit just like the 103, with minimal tools, and very little shop experience you could handle this yourself.

you have many options for the 107 I have had two HQs 107s and a 103--Zippers, S$S 106, AMS 105, R&R, Tman, to name a few --- all deliver proven results -- you will get lower numbers with a TBW bike but the performance will be identical
