'06 EG EFI hiccup?

A tuning issue, bike should NEVER surge/cough and this should'nt be considered normal/common. PCIII, pipes, air kit, dyno tune will get you MUCH better performance/rideability/enjoyment.

Well gee Bounty, do you really think peeps should have to do all that to their bike to get it to not hiccup/surge??? I'm thinking no...
I am seeing the exact same issue on my 06 Street Glide. I had the 25 degree injectors installled and the dealer informed me that the problem was solved by this. It was not. I dropped it back off at the dealership yesterday. I will keep you updated with what my dealer says. My bike is bone stock, so I will not pick it back up until they fix it.

Had the Stage I done with stock muffler on-did it. Put Rush mufflers on when I got home-did it. Changed the air filter again to a Doherty air filter with the power vents-did it. Put the Techlusion TFI on and still does it might be able to adjust it out but have not tryed yet. Does not do it every time so I learned to live with it. I think it is in the ECM program. Had a 05 Road King Custom with Stage I and it did not do it. Main reason I got the TFI was for popping on decelerate, farting back thru throttle bottle and occasional backfire on decelerate. The TFI cured all that. Been trying to tune it for the higest mpg. And it has the 8 degree injectors.

So I have yet to buy my EFI module and I split between the TVII and the PCIII. Here is the million dollar question(s).
Is the surging due to a bug in the throttle position output?
OR
Is the surging due to a bug in the ECM output.
If we answer that question, then the next question leads to this.
Do the SERT, TFI, PCIII, TVII read the throttle position and override the ECM, or do they read the ECM output and react to that?
If it's the latter, then no amount of upgrades is going to get rid of the surging? Any ideas guys?

Had all those problem and Bountyhunter is right,
It almost seems like they plan it when they went to the EFI, to get more money out of you like the 1000 miles checks. Just took mind in for the $250.00 dollar thousand mile oil change, Due to this is my first HD I went along with it. But they won't get it again unless its cover.
