Voltage problem
Went for an afternoon ride with the wife on the way back I noticed that the lights went dim and then came back up. The voltage dropped to around12 volts and then went back to around 14.2. This happened several times before returning to the house. It didn't matter what rpm or anything. I just had the stator replaced not even month. Could this be a loose connection on the battery terminal. Any help will be greatly appreciated. Also this is on a 2005 ultra classic.

Yes, indeed. Check your battery connections. Is your voltage regulator the issue? Measure your battery voltage at 2500 rpm. The voltage should remain steady at about 14.5 volts - give or take 0.2 volts. Check to make sure your regulator ground is clean and secure.
There's a sticky on how to check your charging system on the evo forum.
