You can still say never been riden in the rain. Don't understand the paranoia, they are meant to get wet.

no worries about the rain and the bike...it can take more rain then you can. Now get a rain suit and enjoy.

Should be no worries at all, but I rode in similar conditions last month and a few days later my horn sounded like it was under water. I went to get air horns but they said had to order. Great, saved me X amount of cash as I am an impulse buyer. Anywho when I got home from the HD store I had a BMW take off horn and went to replace the gurgling HD horn. Sure enough it was full of water. Could not have been washing as I only use a hose to pour water after scrub, no pressure washers for me.

I've never worried about my other bikes getting wet or riding in the rain. Man, it was raining so darn hard that the only way I could have gotten the bike any more drenched would been to have run it in a lake. And yea, I'm gonna be a little over protective of this girl. It's taken me 48 years, 9 months, and 1 day to finally achieve my dream. TODAY I AM THE OWNER OF A HARLEY DAVIDSON!!! That may not mean much/anything to some of you guys but it sure the heck puts a big ole grin on my face. Thanks for the advice guys!

I'd be very worried about the shrinkage factor.

Welcome to the Dark Side. Let the good times roll.

good for you, i've got the same bike, although vivid black, and i enjoy the heck out of it. no worries about getting it wet, it's made for being ridden. just beware of snow, i've ended up before on earlier harleys in years past just wickin the throttle up to 55 when 35 was an almost safe speed, knowing that as the brain cells were jelling up, an ambulance would be warmer than this damm thing.
