Default Drenched SG

I bought a used '08 Street Glide (Anniv. Ed) today and trailered it back home. 3-1/2 hours in a non-stop torrential down pour of rain. Got it home, off the trailer, washed, blow dried, and into the garage. My question: Is there anything I need to be concerned about with this much rain exposure? I know these babies are designed to ride in any weather but just want to make sure before I hit the road.

Nothing to worry about. I rode for a whole week in the rain and the bike didn't skip a beat. They are made to be ridden in the rain. Enjoy it and congrats.

Why is everyone afraid to get they're bike wet?

I've ridden in torrential down pours, washed my bike at the car wash, it sits outside at work and it gets rained on constantly, you name it.

As you said, they are designed to be ridden in the rain.

Glad your proud and over protective of you new ride. The best way you can protect it from now on is to ride the crap out of it!

Enjoy.

Riding in the rain is what you do between riding in the sunshine.
Wait, okay, that's kinda right. Water won't hurt you or your scoot.
Enjoy the new ride.

My SG's seen more water this year than most people's boats. Nothing to worry about. Grats and enjoy!
