"Glide" differences?
Hi, am new to the forum. I ride an '03 Sportster (not for long) which is up for sale. Want to move up to one of the HD glides....question - what are the differences between the road glide, electra glide and the street glide? Is it just a matter of the trim/accessories or something more substantial. Thanks!
To quote Geraldine (Flip Wison): "What you see, is what you get".
Electric Glides: Classic looks with chrome rails everywhere, fenders, saddlebags
Street Glide: New Strip Down Hot Rod looks, clean fenders and saddlebags (no chrome accents)
Road Glide: Has a fixed to the frame fairing, "a.k.a. Shark Nose"
There are other differences, but that's the jist of it.

All same bike, chose what appeals to you. Espcially the 2010 road glide and street glide are same bike, except for the front fairing. Even the price is the same.
I went from dyna to street glide. I had the SG for about 1000 miles and I do miss the power and the handling of the dyna.

There are differences in the touring amenities also. If you ride in groups that communicate by CB like I do then you want one that has a CB like the Ultra Classic. If you want long distance comfort, look for one with cruise control (I wouldn't ever be without it again) Beyond that, as others have said, looks and storage options are pretty obvious.

So I'm making my own headphone hookup for less than $25.
