Default Which one?

Ok everybody, I figured I'd ask you guys to help me make up my mind. I paid off the dyna last month and I'm already thinking about #2. Since the dyna is set up for solo rides, I was thinking of a(can't believe I saying this) bagger! The gf always complained about the bike being too loud and just wasn't comfortable for her. So I have it my head to get a good 2-up ride, something for long distance rides. I narrowed it down to 2 bikes, street glide & road glide. I always liked the street glide but the more I look at the road glide the more I like it! I had a street glide last year for a few days and we both liked it, she said it was a lot more comfortable, and I thought the ride was great and it amazed me on how good it handled. I haven't ridden the road glide yet, but I have ridden bikes before with the fixed fairings and don't really mind them. I was looking at both of 'em today, both in black denim and they looked awesome. Both are around the same price, so help me out, what would you get?

If I had to make that call I would go for the Street Glide. A friend at work has one and I can honestly say it rides like a caddy and is alot more comfortable than I thought it would be. Plus it is the younger crowd bagger.

I like the looks of the Road Glide better, but you can see what I ride...

The buffeting from the Road Glide was unbearable for me. Plus the fairing speakers are so far away they're hard to hear on the freeway.

As far as bagger handling is concerned, nothing is better than a 2009 Road Glide. The fixed fairing allows light handling, and the bike carves very nicely. 2010 Road Glides are lowered, and don't handle as good. They can't lean as far, plus they ride stiffer.

If I had the $$, I'd have one of both. But, since I'm a man of average means, I had to pick one, and it was a Street Glide. I traded shocks with my buddy (who has a Road King) and I'm extremely happy.

Default Streetglide

Dude, ride them and then decide. I did not like the roadglide. The fairing is not functional except for an instrument panel. I couldn't wait to get it back to the dealership and try something I liked riding. Now the streetglide CVO, I didn't want to give it back...

Thanks guys, I'm leaning towards the street glide a lot! I was just keeping my options open with the road glide since they are basically the same price. Hopefully I don't go off track with the mods, I wanna keep this one pretty much stock except for a stage 1 and maybe some bars.

I havent driven either but talked to a couple of buddies that had street glides. While in for service they took out a demo road glide and both said if they had driven the road glide before purchasing they would have went with the road glide. Just my 2 cents. When money permits I am going for road glide as long as they dont drop the model.
