the new road glide custom is my favorite bagger. The exact same bike as a streetglide except the fairing and paint style(stickers). I do see one advantage to the streetglide and that is the radio is not as far away from the operator. Might be more difficult to adjust sound.
i had always wanted the street glide but lately i have been really digging the road glide. have looked at the bagger section here and have seen lots of good things written about the road glide. they say the steering is lighter with the fixed fairing. only complaints i've heard is buffeting.
Kind of a toss-up for me ... I was never a big fan of the 'shark nose' fairing of the Road Glide, but it has kind of grown on me ....
I really dig this one owned by Terry1955 (administrator and troll slayer) ...
... of course, I am somewhat surprised you are not considering the new Electra Glide Ultra Limited ... comes standard with a 103 ... only down side is the tour pack and fairing lowers--but, you could strip them off if you want a more streamlined ride ... I like the 'two tone' paint jobs that come standard ....

I looked at the limited, but at $24k it's a little to high for me. I'm looking at putting about $8k down to bring my payments down to around $200. Plus I'm betting that 103" isn't putting out too much more than a 96". My salesman is telling me he could cut a pretty good deal on a ultra and it would only cost about $750 more than the street glide. That way I have the extras if I want them, tour pak & back rest, lowers, extra lighting. But I'm just can't see myself on a ultra yet! It's looking like it's gonna be my first choice...the street glide!
