Default loose back rest

I have a 02 road King with an adjustable drivers back rest
Does anyone know how to secure that?
It moves from side to side
Thanks

There more than 1 adjustable back rest. I have the 1 that has the cable to adjust the back rest and it will move some side to side but not much. I would remove the seat and check out where the play is and see if it can be tightened up. It could be simple as loose bolts.

Had an adjustable backrest installed on my 08 Ultra and thought it was to loose (side to side) also. I was told by service dept that is normal!!! I checked another Ultra and that had same amount of side to side play. I've had mine on for 4000 miles and I never had any problems with it moving. Still made me feel like it was poorly made, but it does work great. It's very stable once you rest your back on it, .
