Don't have an Ultra but when I did mine on the RK I took the seat off and then followed the direction that came with the back rest. Mine is adjustable so there was a cable and handle that had to be connected but wasn't too hard with the directions.

read and re-read the directions....whatever you do...STAY CALM...if the dealers can do it and charge you a months worth of pay...you can do it and buy some chrome with the money you are gonna save..just my 2 cents (dont mean to offend anyone)

If you haven't had your seat off before, open the tour pack lid and you can access the screw better that holds the seat down.

The tour pack does not have to be removed. The instructions are pretty straight forward. I just installed a rider backrest on my '03 Ultra Classic.

Yes they do, all you need is the docking kit.

do the rider backrests make a ig difference? I can't make up my mind between a Harley seat and a Corbin? I have a detectable passanger backrest. And if I got a Corbin and got a rider backrest I really wouldnt want two different backrests. Maybe I am just too **** like my friends say? lol.
