Default Rider Backrest Help on RKC

I just got my sindowner touring seat and installed. I am going to get a rider backrest. Are the rider backrest model specific or will nearly any rider backrest work? The other qustion is, is it worth the extra $100 to get the backrest that is fully adjustable (tilt front and back) or should I just get the basic backrest? Do you use the tilt? Is the pull tab to adjust it obvious? Opninions please.
Thanks

Whateva, I just ordered the Sundowner seat and rider backrest for my
'06 RK. Can't speak to your other questions, but this is the fixed backrest
I ordered.

Hope this helps.

I got the adjustable, I like being able to move it now and then for a different riding position.

I ordered the standard rider backrest for my RK Police w/ a RKC two-up seat. Friends told me you really don't need the adjustable backrest. As for matching your seat, if you check the descriptions & pictures in the catalog, they make different backrests to match different seats cosmetically.

I don't have the Sundowner, however my Mustang seat has an adjustable backrest.

One thing I have found is the ability to change positions is what keeps me comfortable. Floorboards to highway pegs and back, then swap out one leg up and one leg down... backrest forward, towards the back, up, down, etc...

The ability to change make a ride like the one today (300 miles) end up comfortable. Just my opinion...

I have one with the adjuster. I had to bend the rest a little( more of an angle) because it didn't seem to go far enough back. Other than that I really enjoy having the thing on. It really helps. Oh. one other thing The adjustable one is removable. Just reach behind the bottom of the rest undo the clip and the thing comes right out. Very handy.
