How far have you gone on a tank of gas with your Ultra Classic? What seems to be the average MPG? I know this can and will vary, but I have heard as little as 200 and as much as 325 per tank. That seems WAY hight to me!

 

i usually get around 185 per tank. that will vary if i am carrying the mrs, or towing the trailer, but that is about average.

I have never got more than 37 mpg so far on my RK with 1400 miles on her so 200 per tank would be out of the question for me. I would be sucking fumes at 180 miles.

 

Perhaps after a few more miles you will get better..??

 

55-65 i got 49.8 70 85 i got 44 mpg. slightly lower when it was injected.

 

You have a 5 gallon tank, with no reserve............so when the idiot light comes on, you better find a gas station.

200 miles is about what I get out of a tank under normal riding conditions.........40+mpg is my average right now.

Once I get it dyno tuned, it should get a little better.

When stock, low of about 38 (high speed cruise) high of about 44 (low speed back roads touring).

Recent Stage I with HD download; low of 42.3 (today, 20 miles uphill mild headwind, the rest at 65-70 mostly level), high of 46 doing the backroad touring thing.

I would expect to trip plan at 40-41 to be safe.[:-]

 

Today I did, 316 km on 16.13 liters....55.6 mpg Canadian or 44.5 mpg US. I always get better mileage with my wife on!
