Default Satellite Radio Suggestions

Looking to purchase a satellite radio for my 07 Road Glide. Wondering what others are using and if the Road Tech al-20 that Harley sells is a basic plug and play into the Harmon Kardon
aux. on the front of the radio

I have the same setup same radio, ran the aux cord down the handlebars through the inner fairing cap and out to the aux jack on the other side works great and a lot less money then the HD unit and set up.

What was the cost for that setup?

I love my XM and going through withdrawals.

I have the same setup with sirius and have gone thru 3 radios. Apparently the vibration has loosened the antenna connection in the radio itself, not the mount. I'm on my 4th and I stepped up to a stratus 5 and so far it's holding out. If the XM's have no problem, I may switch if it happens again.

I had a similar problem with my Sirius Starmate receiver...noticed sat cutting in & out...took unit apart and found power connector solder connections to pcb broken...resoldered all connections and ty-wrapped power cable to sat receiver case (its located in the left front pocket on my RG)...

I just transmit the sat radio sig over FM at 91.7MHz and don't use the cable...probably does not sound as good as the hardwired connection...

Currently using a Pioneer Inno2. Works good no problem with reception unless going under an overpass. I use it just about everyday. Great for when I get to work just unplug it and take it into the office and plug into the home cradle. Then plug it back in for the trip home. Then plug it in again at home.

I do use a small amplifier that I bought for headphones which increases the output to the head unit.

I have the HD XM on my Ultra and listen to it every day. I think I paid just over $400, so it is a little pricy. I like not having an external unit and cables to worry about.

Don't use the aux port. Get the FM wired connection that connects to the fm antenna in back of the radio.
