Default What's a good head/cam upgrade for an '07 flhtcu?

I've got an '07 flhtcu with the 103 ci ugrade (255 cams) and last dyno was 80/103 hp/tq. I'm running tru duals with quiet baffles and have the SERT. My buddy has the same thing on an '08 and we run neck to neck. I want to step it up a notch so I can dust him on our next trip. I started looking for heads and see there are a bunch of 110ci se heads around and wondered if they would work on my setup. Also wondering about port/polish on the ones I have versus a new set of se heads. Is there any place that will take your stocks as core and swap a set ready to go? As far as cams go, I read somewhere that the new se 259e was a good cam upgrade from the 255. Any ideas?

Look into the Head Quarters products.

If you just want a cost effective solution, you might call Big Boyz and discuss your goals with them. I'm sure they could port/polish/ set compression for whatever cam you want to run. SE 211 might be something to consider. Nasty idle when a little compression is put on them and they pull real strong in the mid to upper RPM range.

Save your money on the heads. I have a 510 cam (this has low starting compression so theres no starting issues) with 9.5:1 with a slightly milled head and when I ran with Kuryakin crushers I was putting out 108/113, and averaged 43mpg.15k miles and never had an issue. This was mid range power band from 2900 to 4500 rpms. It seems everyone with 2XX series cams have starter issues.
