Default RK v. RK Custom?

I love my Sportster, but I'm looking for a larger ride, & I have some questions for you knowledgeable folks.

I know the major differences between Road King, and Road King Classic, but how is the Road King Custom different from them? I see the handlebars are different; seat's a little different too. Is the suspension the same? Front end rake the same?

Any and all insight is much appreciated!

Cheers,
JR

The custom is lowered and doesn't come standard with a winshield or cruise control...That is about the only difference besides what you already stated.

not an expert on the custom but the handlebars are the beach style. i think they have the same low profile shocks that are on a streetglide. Headlight nacelle is also different than on a roadking. i think 07 was the last year of production.

The Custom is lowered an inch in the rear. I think the console is a bit longer than the other Road Kings because most seat manufacturers make special seats for them. Overall, it's a really nice bike. And there's the chrome wind deflector doodad.

Default and RK v. Electraglide?

You guys are awesome! Thanks!

Now, how does a Road King differ from Electraglide? Are there any differences in the suspension between these two? Or is it all about the Electraglide's big fairing?

Thanks again,
JR

All of the above are correct. The other nice thing about the Road King Custom is that you don't see many of them, at least I don't. They were only made from 2004 to 2007. I also have the detachable windshield, passenger backrest and luggage rack, as well as a bunch of other stuff. I really like my 07 FLHRS. Try it, you'll like it.

I know at least in 05 you could still order them carbed. Mine is not. As most stated fenders are clean, wheels, wind deflector, console, seat, bags, no passing lights or bag crash bars, lower rear, passenger pegs not boards & beach style bars.. Think thats about it. I love mine I did add some classic stuff like passing lights, passenger boards along with all the other stuff Ive added.

Don't forget the bullet style front and rear turn signals. Love my Custom.
