Question Tank Bra

Is the HD tank bra of decent quality and worth the $40 bucks? If not, who else makes a bra?

Don't buy the tank bra!! It's the biggest waste of money I've spent on the bike. I was getting more tank rubs from it than from my jeans. Some suggest getting the floorboard extentions to get the legs away from the tank.

I have the tank bra on my '09 U.C. I put the bra on my bike because I am short and I was scratching my tank when I would have to slide forward to reach the ground. It works but now I notice hazing in the paint on the tank which I know I can buff out, so there is a tradeoff. To answer your question it is soft on the inside, for me it was worth the$, Make sure you either take it off when you wash your bike or at least slide something under it so it can air dry(that's what I do).

For me it's not so much knee rub, but more jacket snaps and belt buckle. As for cleaning, I did plan to take off when washing. Sounds like the same problems the auto bras have. This is a tuff call! Perhaps I'll run w/o..??
