The supertrapp website says they are the old SE pipes they made for Harley. The one thing preventing me from pulling the trigger is that I am afraid they are the same cans I have but newer. The SuperTrapp SE's are the identical muffler as the HD SE 65115-98B. However, HD made several different versions of SE mufflers. HD quit making the 98B's after '06 due to EPA requirements. The 98B's were so popular that SuperTrapp just continued to make them under the SE name. Now that info I got directly from SuperTrapp.

I have the HD 98B's on my RK, and my best bud just put the SuperTrapp SE's on his '06 Road Glide with the same 88" stage 1 set-up as my bike. They sound vertially identical. Nice deep rumble that mellows at cruising speed. Great sounding muffs!

Also, don't let that 3db thing fool you. db's go up exponentially or something, so 3db is noticably louder than stock.

where would I find the part # on my muffs? I can look when I get home to see if that is what they are.

Bub 7 slip on's. Deep rich sound, great look, great chrome, great price. Just put them on my 2009 Road King Classic. Check other forums for more comments.

Also Bub m22 for a little less money,sound great off the line and i can here the tunes at road speed.Just put um on my 09 SG.thought id do slips now,then put the money in duals later.2 cts

Pumba is exactly correct about the SE's and their changes...
I don't think you can find a part # on the actual pipe itself (I could be wrong), to figure out if you have a 98B style, most go by the sound, but If you purchased them before summer of '06, you can pretty much bet they are indeed the older/louder version (like the current Supertrapp SE's). After that date they probably are the newer/quiet version..

Ok, that rules out the supertrapp SEs. These pipes were on the bike when I bought it in '03, so that's what they probably are.

Any opinions on Rush? Jamie from fuelmoto recomended Rush pipes? Any thoughts.

I found Rush to be Loud but that was on a Heritage, little different set up perhaps someone else can help you there..

I forgot to mention, Jamie also recomended the 1.75" baffles.

Call SuperTrapp customer service they were very helpful to me. There numbers stamped on the pipes (or maybe the internal baffle canister) and they can tell you which model you have. SuperTrapp (Kerker) also made other models during that time that were louder then the 98B's. You can't lump them all together since they looked basically the same. They also have a good customer forum on thier own website at www.supertrapp.com
