Default '10 SG rim on a 07???

Has anyone put a front rim from a '10 SG or RG on a 07 yet? What needs to be done to make this work, or wont it work?

Has anyone tried this yet. I'd really like to add the '09 or '10 front wheel to my '07. If I'm not mistaken, the '09 is a 17" and the '10 is an 18", I'm seeing lots of takeoffs on ebay for reasonable prices.
Any help is appreciated

I'm Very interested in this as well. But in my case its onto a 2002. I understand though that the 2002-2007 configuration is the same, and the 2008-2010 is the same.

The 2002-2007 has a 1 inch axle, the 2008-2010 has a metric axle. This is what is going to be the big hurdle here.

A buddy of mine had it done this past Saturday on his '07. The dealer wasn't even sure themselves but after getting in to it it will work but they had to also change out the front axle to make it do so.

I figured they might have to change out the axle, I'm curious though what they had to do with the forks, if they had to modify it to get the axles to fit right?

I have been looking, and I can't find the P/N for a 2010 FL front axle.

Good to see another Falconer on the boards!

According to the information I found, the newer axles are 25mm, which is almost exactly the same as 1 inch. 1" = 25.1mm.

The good thing is that this might mean that you can do the install with just new axles, stock bearings for the 2010 wheel, and stock forks for the 2002-2007 bike.
