Default Passenger floorboard rubber inserts

I was changing out my passenger floorboards to the same ones that come on the electra glide from the pegs that come on the street glide . I had some parts where I had change to chrome on my 05 eltra glide classic, but i need the 4 pins , the 2 ***** and the 2 springs, So on saturday i went to the local Harley dealership. I figured those couldnt be to high, the parts guy looked to see if he had those in stock which he did. He went and got them and proceeded to add up the total. I almost fell out of my chair when he told me the total was 46.00 . I looked him in the eye and just shook my head. My wife was there and insisted that she wanted the passenger footboards for a up coming trip to mena Ar. So i paid him and bitched about it all the way home.. Is that the going price for those small parts, please help. cause ill take them back if they screwed me.

Sounds very high to me. You polly could pick up a whole set of boards used for that much.

OUCH! Man that's ridiculous!!! I don't know what pins you're talking about - but the ***** and springs will cost all of $1 at the hardware store. $2 if you can find Stainless springs. Take what you just got from HD and try to match them up, then take the originals back.
I can't believe HD will charge 4000% for that simple stuff.
And yes - IMHO you did get screwed!!!!

I just figured out the pins you're referring to. I believe they are just 1/4" or 3/8" stainless bar stock. You could buy a foot of that online for a couple more bucks.
I might even have some laying around if you get into a bind.

Pins 50933-86A $2.50 retail x 4 = $10.00
***** 8861 $2.00 retail x 2 = $4.00
Springs 33085-74 $.90 retail x 2 = $1.80

Total MSRP retail value = $15.80

How much is tax where you live????

The 50938-04 is a kit of 4 pivot pins which include 4 of the ones I posted above. The kit is $10 just as if you bought them individually and the 8860's that you got are only $.20 each so that is supposed to be cheaper than what I stated. You were robbed!
