The dealer said they install heated grips on my 06 ultra because my wires are internal. I bought the bike used and the owner before me put chrome bars on and had them wired.Does anyone else ahve heated grips with internal wired bars ?

 

I have them on my sb .They were already on there but u can see a little bit of the wire going into the bars.M bars are stock sb. Hope that will help.

 

Just fish the wires through the bars, then go from there.

I had an 03 Screamin' Eagle Duece and it had internally wired bars. The HD website and the dealer said they were incompatible with the heated grips. The reasoning was electrical interference had been reported with the security system.
