Anyone put hd heated grips on santee bars? Do I need to cut off any on the bars for them to work?
Thanks

I knew it was going to be a pain in the butt, so I took mine to my local indy and had him do my 11" Santee bars. He did cut off the ends of both sets of bars. Welded the ends of the stocks on to the new bars and then the heated grips went on with no problems.

I have no experience with changing the bars but this has been a question I can't find the answer to. Why can't the heated grips be used with aftermarket bars? I would like to add heated grips to my FLHX but whenever I put bars on it I would like to keep heated grips.

some bars need to be cut 3/8 of an inch for them to work on some aftermarket bars.than some need to be bored out some for them to fit.that is why i asked about the santee bars.
i will get the santee bars and see if i can find out.
