Hey Darren, Have you found a good (cheap) place to buy the Performance Baffled muffler can and all yet? Also was that the baffle recommended for your build? Great write-up Darren Thanks

SO cool! Glad you love it.

D&D sent an entire new muffler with concentric baffle (quiet) to me to replace the perforated core baffle (louder-see video below) they sent me. Nice that I can just swap out mufflers instead of having to try to remove baffles!

Funny, though... now I'm getting used to the sound and volume of the (louder) perforated core baffle!

I love it.

But I do know that in the summer, for long rides, the wife and I will appreciate the quieter baffle... so I'm sure I'll do the muffler switch before summer gets here for that reason alone.

Does anyone know if changing from perf baffle to concentric baffle, back and forth, can be done with minimal difference in the run-ability of the engine tune?

Mike,

I will get the Perf. baffle from my Harley dealership if I commit to doing this. I get a good price there.
Leonard at D&D said that with my 10.1CR either the PB or QB would work well because that's right on the line between these two selections.

I'm certainly glad I got the QB first, because the wife loves the new sound and I was concerned it would have been too loud initially.

Anybody running a TTS Mastertune system with these pipes?

I have these pipes on the way and I am looking for a good base/starting map to start my tune.

Any suggestions?

Rahall,

What else does your build consist of? If your otherwise stock, or stage I, the base map is a good starting point as always. Also, where did you buy your TTS from? You can PM me with this if you don't want to say over the net. Reason for asking is usually the person(vendor) you bought it from is really good about support and answering questions. Some will even send you a base map.

Oh heck, you should be able to use your existing timing tables and just ride to adjust the VE tables with the new pipes via V-Tune. Should be an uneventful tuning process and you're gonna be impressed at the bottom end the FatCat is going to give you.

I just swapped out the concentric baffle for the perferated wrapped baffle seems to run fine, but going in for tune at the end of the month,With the stage 3 kit it feels like I have way more power with the perferated baffle seat of the pants dyno but that could be the added compression and cams stock may not be able to tell much difference other than noise.

I do have a concentric baffle to sell though if any one is interested
