Default will engine cool off

I got my bub7s today,, true duals.. I gotta wait till my pcv & hd heavy breather get in, but how much cooler will the engine temp drop? aprox.. everything else is stock. bike is a 09 street glide. just wondering cause this past summer it was really hot. I installed the oil tempgauge in the fairing in place of air temp & quite offten it ran 250-260- degrees the oil temp @ the filler runs around 300 now those temps are on the hottest days in traffic.. if it still runs that hot a cooler may be needed.. hopefually this will richen up the fuel ratio & run cooler..thanks for any info

With just a change in pipes, you're probably going to run hotter...

Did you get your PCV from Jamie. Keep us updated on the map used with the Heavy Breather.

on my 07 it was a big difference but sitting in traffic on a really hot day and it will still get to warm for my liking ,it was a big enough improvment for me not to get the oil cooler.

Eric, It's been proven that opening up the air intake and remapping, plus changing to an open exhaust cools these bikes down. How much depends on your riding style and where you live. I put the stage1 kit with remap and rush slipon's w/2" baffles on my 09 EGC. I also went with Amsoil in the motor,Primary and Tranny. I could tell it helped alot. In actual degree's, I don't know. I just bought an 08 105th UC. I took it to the dealer today for service. It was stock! I'm having him put Amsoil in it and a stage1 kit with remap. I plan to add pipes later. The service guy is real good at shooting straight with people. He said the air and remap was the most important part of making it run cooler and performance. If you think about that it makes sense, the EPA guidelines has these bikes running so lean, they run hot. Hope this helps!

All depends on the tune. Most that I have done run in the 200-210 range on a 90 degree day as long as they are moving.

Those BUB7 TD's evacuate the gases so well compared to the stock system, even with just those changed I cannot see anything but a temp reduction coming your way.

They just flow that well and it eliminates the crossover pipe near your right leg.

Combined with the other mods you will be installing you will notice a big difference. You're gonna be very happy.
