Default Clone of Arc Audio mini amp

http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/eB...=STRK:MEWAX:IT

Will this amp fit in a batwing fairing? It is just over a half inch wider than the Arc Audio 125.2 mini amp.

I don't see why not. I've got the Arc Audio 125.2 strapped to the top of my stock HD radio, and it has plenty of room. 1/2" of extra width would easily fit in as well on my Ultra.

Thanks for the reply. I think I'm going to give that amp a try. After doing some research, it seems that this amp has the same internals as the Arc Audio amp for a whole lot less money.

Here's a good comparison of the two.

http://www.diymobileaudio.com/forum/...guts-pics.html

Consensus is that although they look pretty simliar, the Arc is using better overall components (albeit the design "appears" pretty exact between the two). What I have found when it comes to amps (and speakers) is that while two models may look very similiar, the internals generally make a big difference in quality.

If you get the Elf, let us know your thoughts on quality when you get it hooked up.

I have had that amp installed in my RG for over 6 months and it is used almost daily. Seems to work fine.

I have no idea how it compares to an ARC. Firecap stated in one of his posts months back that he was going to do a comparison, but he never posted the results (at least I did not find them).

I imagine the debate will go along the same lines as the HF jack compared to the pit bull jack.
