Default amp choice

Okay - because I can't leave well enough alone, I have considered an amp to add to my system. I have the JVC KD-X35MBS and the Polk Audio DB 652. I am happy with the quality of the sound. I can hear it at 85+, albeit not as loud as I might like. Everyone recommends an amp, and I really can't get that recommendation out of my thick dome.

I have been looking at this amp: https://www.crutchfield.com/p_500KTP...ower-Pack.html

I am looking for sub $150 for the amp, and I would like the dimensions to be as small as possible. This one is about the same size as my head unit, so fitment should be good. It's a class D, which I have read is important. It's also a 4 channel, as I would like the option to expand to speakers in the lowers, if I so choose.

What are your opinions on this amp? Do you have recommendations for a different options that is compact? I don't want to have to trip plastics to get this to fit, that would be a deal breaker for me.

This is a 2008 Street Glide.

Thanks!

The only think I have inside the fairing (besides all the factory crap) is the JVC and the 6.5" speakers. Can you tell me why I don't want that amp? (I believe you, I am trying to learn) I have researched as much as I can without asking questions, so it's question time. Everyone who installs the amps seems to have to cut the bottom of the gauges. I am not confident in my skills to do that, so I would like to avoid it. I have seen the Cerwin Vega B54 recommended a lot, but it's quite large and I don't know how it would fit without modification. Would the RF Punch (

) be a better choice than the Alpine? It's small by comparison to the B54.

It's a matter of finding the balance between compact, suitable watts and $$$. Most of the Speaks that are used for conventional aftermarket builds are in the 125-150 RMS range thus 45 watts from this amp just is not going to get u where u want to be. There are plenty of folks that run pretty solid amps in 2008s thus be patient and see what kind of input u get, but u have way more room under the hood than u think u do and can prob get there in the $150 range. Then put some new speakers on your long term shopping list and u build upon a solid growth amp.

I have seen those. They seem quite long. Will they fit without cutting any plastic? I am happy to mess with the wiring and everything inside the fairing, to make room, but I do not want to cut any plastic. I really can't stress that enough. I was looking at this mount

Will these work with the Soundstream Nano? I know they are made for the RF Punch.

I know there will be some work in getting everything mounted and wired, but I am looking for minimal (read 'none') modifications to the bike itself.

There are amp mounts that work with aftermarket headunits that allow for pretty easy mounting of alot of amps. Look baddazz bikes in texas. They have a very nice amp tray for around 50$ that will work with the soundstream amps and you wont have to cut any plastic

That amp will fit fine, no cutting of anything, except wires. The one I have (PA RZ4-2000d) there are plastic pieces on either end of the amp that need to be removed (4 screws) but NO bike mods. Not sure about the amp mounts, Velcro it to the top of head unit and go.
