Little Help PLEASE!!!
Hello and Happy Holidays everyone,
I figure that I'm allowed one more dumb question for 2009, so here it is.
Mrs. Clause gave me a new set of new spun aluminum gauges for the Ultra for a Christmas Present. There are no instructions but I don't see that any are necessary The fairing is off and I'm ready to swap the gauges. For some reason I decided to take a look at the bulbs in the new gauges before doing the swap. There is a very thin red silicone or rubber sleeve over the bulb. Best way to describe it is that it is a thin red "Bulb Condom". So the question is......Do I leave this on or take it off? I wanted to check with the Touring Guru Nation first.
Thanks!!!!!!!!!!!

Thanks for the answers, I think!! But seriously, it just seemed to me that this could melt on the bulb IF the bulb ever gets that hot. But, I will leave-em on if you guys say so. Someone should come up with some different colored "condoms" for an easy way to change backlight color. I'm thinking that blue might look good.
You may be able to find some different colored covers here.....http://www.egauges.com/vdo_acce.asp?...e_E/C&Manf=All
