GPS??? Whats that? I thought one of the pleasures of riding is taking a wrong turn a finding something new and unexpected.

Made a wiring harness with 2 wires off the Aux/acc plug under the seat,10 ga. wire off of batt. post for my amp.Ran them in black vinyl wire loom down the frame, followed clutch cable up into fairing, into a waterproof fuse box(mounted under left side of fairing) I made that powers up my 550 Zumo,a power point mounted on the fairing, used mainly for charging a cell phone and my Scala bluetooth unit that I store in the fairing pouch, and a power supply for a sirius radio unit.Didn't really want any more wires coming out under tank. Can't even see the wire loom cable tied to the clutch cable.

Run my zumo 660 wire under the tank to the battery, to a 2 way plug I had already attached to the battery for a trickle charger for winter storage. Now the GPS stays on no matter if the bike is on or not.

Thanks for all of the responses - I ended up pulling the tank and running the wires to the back - I installed a GDO switch and used the extra orange cable at the light pigtail for that hook up - by the way highly recommend the GDO hard wire transmitter.. I plan on doing a big bore kit this winter so pulling the gas tank should make everything a little more accessible and made the GPS wiring a breeze.

Thats just what a gps is good for, you can take any turn any where and explore, the GPS tells you how to get back
