I am wondering what issues as well. My buddy did the same thing. After I got my RG seat back from MCC he noticed how much better it was than his stock SG seat so he started me looking to find another RG seat so he could send it off. He saw the flhxse seat and thought that after buying a RG seat, shipping it to mcc, paying for it and paying for shipping back, he would hopefully be better off with the SE seat. I must admit it does look nice and it's much better than the SG seat he had but now I just have to know what "ISSUES" there are with the seat. The part number is 51995-10 and you can see a picture of one below. It's 299.00 at Zanotti's + shipping.

Seat pan flex has been the biggest issue, when the rider sits on the bike the nose of the seat is raising up 1/2-3/4" off the tank which is really a two fold problem. The seat pan is pretty much flat with nothing making it rigid and the other cause is the foam at the front of the seat hangs over a 1/2" from the seat pan, the glue holding the foam sucks and this lets the foam pull back over the seat pan. HD must have seen this problem and tried fixing it with a woven mesh they have embedded in the foam but it was applied wrong and the foam still pulls up. I had 5 or 6 of these seats come in from the local dealership to fix at the end of last year and after talking with a buddy who has a SE and frequents the SE section of the forum told me that HD was supposed to come out with a new model that addresses the issues but from what I have seen they haven't changed anything. The seats we fixed for the local dealer I used two 6"x1"x1/16" aluminun strips and pop riveted them to the seat pans in the driver's section of the seat pan to prevent it from flexing and at the nose where the foam pulled away from the seat pan, reglued the foam down and wraped the seat with a thin layer (1/4")foam and stapled it down all the way around the seat.

HD seats have become really crappy the past few years. I think they are using Chinesse foam in them because the quality sucks azz. 99-07 the SE seats were all leather with the exception of the part that is under the seat. Now the only part of the SE seats that are leather is the center piece on top of the seat and the vinyl they are using now is just crappy.
