HD has changed the stock seat on EG Limiteds, Ultras, Classics and Tri-Glides. It's narrower, lower, and has a different stitch pattern than the seat it replaces. The new seat is installed on bikes made after January 18th.

Dealers can buy the new seat at a reduced price from HD. The new seat is not being announced to the general public; only to dealers.

I'm sure Dawg has access to the actual letter from HD to dealers regarding this new seat.

Just passing the information along; I haven't seen the seat.

 

I'm sure that's great if you're inseam challenged. For me, the 09 stock seat design had me concentrating all my weight on the left and right peaks of my ****. It was good for an hour or so before the pain started and the longer I sat the bike after that, the more squirming I did. I can't imagine a seat that's "narrower" being any better for someone like me. I've got a Russell Day-Long Saddle conversion and am a lot happier with it as it is wider and spreads my weight over a much larger percentage of my back side. As I'm tall enough to reach the ground anyway, it's a better compromise, "for me!"

I cant wait to see it/sit on it; I had my stock '09 Ultra seat done by MCC; it's okay, but not as good as it could be.
