As long as you get there at a decent hour, shouldn't be any problem.

Really appreciate all the responses ....Sounds like we won't have any trouble getting a room that time of year. Thanks again

We were there last June and stayed at the Chief Motel in Custer, just South of Mt. Rushmore. Really enjoyed the stay there. The manager was really helpful on things to see and do in the area. The motel has covered parking for motorcycles and they put fresh towels on the seats each morning to use to clean the bikes. Be sure and ride Iron Mountain Road and Needles Highway in the area. The tunnels on Iron Mountain Road frame Mt. Rushmore when riding from the South.....very impressive sight!
