Check your pipes for clearance, maybe one of them is bangin' on the frame..

I'm on here looking for answers because I think I may have found my source of vibration. My 2010 Street Glide has a vib at various rpm/speeds/gears. I looked at mounts, loose bolts, etc. While bumping around I noticed the right side engine guard when bumped by hand vibrates for a few seconds and seems almost like what I feel. It also will flex although all mount bolts are tight?? I guess easy enought to eliminate, remove and see what happens.
If anyone else has found this to be a source of vib, would like to know.

Freebird I have fought this simular vib but I feel mine in the boards. I've come to the conclusion that it's just the nature of the beast. I had a SE compensator installed and it helped a little but you are right. Hit the bar with your hand and it viberates like crazy. I have almost 16,000 miles on my bike now and it runs awesome. So I have decided to live with it.

Tn.Heritage, I have not had the vib. problem in the handlebars as the OP stated, but I have in the floorboards as you described. I noticed it after changing headpipes. I solved it by loosening all exhaust bolts & nuts. Shake & rattle the exhaust system around a little, making sure its loose. Start with the nuts holding the pipe to the heads, tightening them evenly. Next go to the crossover clamp & hanger. Next tighten the mufflers. Last tighten the mounting bolt under the transmission on the right side. Pay close attention to the allen head bolts that hold this mount to the transmission case. They are really bad about getting loose. You may have already tried this. I guess its possible the vibration from this could travel up the frame to the bars also. It sure fixed mine!
