Default Starter question

My buddy just installed a chrome "plunger" type mechanism on the end of his starter; I assume he can use it to start the engine in case the handlebar switch goes bad. Does anyone know the proper name for this and where to buy it?
Thanks!

I've seen them on J&P cycles, without looking it up not sure what they are called, they have several different styles.

HERE's one. It's called a starter solenoid cover with starter button.

My BIL just installed one on his this past week in Daytona at bike week as his starter button is intermittent. He bought his at J&P in Daytona.
