A wrench. You don't need the bracket on the 09 and later models like you do on the 08 and earlier.

Just the man I wanted to hear from. I guess it can't get any simpler than that.

So I just remove those two torx bolts and nuts on each side and the bumper will come off?

OK, so I just took a peek at my bike. Is there anything I can buy to put in place of the bumper on the saddlebag rails? If I remove the bumper all together, it looks unfinished with those little tabs just sticking out. I guess I could just powdercoat it, but was just wondering if there is something else out there?

Saddlebag filler panels or a FLHX fascia would finish it right up.

Would you happen to have the part number for a denim black fascia and everything needed to install?

I was looking at that thread with that denim red RG where he installed the very same thing. I plugged in his part#'s and they didn't work. I believe my paint code is BYM.

59739-10BYM is the pn# for the black denim fascia. You can get the pn#'s for the other parts from Bigdaddymike's thread. I would do the 3M tape as well like Bigdaddymike did.

Have you considered purchasing the HD Touring Service Manual for your bike's model year? I ask because it is chock full of useful information, e.g. how to remove a bumper; how to install a SG fascia, LED light, hook-up the LED light so that it works, and lots of other useful information. It also includes torque specs for the various fasteners typically associated with adding and/or reinstalling parts.

While the Service Manual is, unfortunately, lacking in part number information, and offers too few pictures, HD also sells Parts Catalogs for Touring Models to us civilians to make it so much easier to undertake our seemingly endless modifications to our bikes with helpful exploded views of many assemblies to assist in their assembly.

Given the thousands of dollars many of us spend on accessories on our bikes, the $100 or so spent on these two books is generally considered to be a bargain.

Service manual, who needs a stinking service manual when you have a wealth of knowledge such as this at your finger tips.
