Default Hidden Antenna

I'm in the process of installing a quick detachable tour pak on my 2010 ultra and would prefer to use a hidden antenna in my fairing as opposed to relocating the antenna's on the lower rear fender bracket. Any suggestions would be appreciated. Thanks

I have a classic and i wanted to use the rear antenna for CB only so i split the system and used a amplified radio antenna from Advance auto...Not sure if you even use the CB or not...J&M has a good quality hidden one...You can also call Sierra Electronics... They are a J&M Dealer and also have pretty knowledgeable folks.

I've got a powered internal antenna from Dakota Digital under my fairing. It's awesome and the radio comes in loud and clear.
No idea about your CB options but there has to be something comparable.

I use the J&M in-fairing CB antenna and it works fine for group riding; haven't tested it for range during a trip. It uses a pigtail so you can connect the OEM CB antenna cable to it so that the CB antenna on the tour pak can be used when the tour pak is on the bike.

I use an inexpensive Dakota Digiital clone that works well for AM/FM/WB.

Try the "search" function--literally dozens of threads on hidden antennas.

I have this one and I've been very happy with it. Cheap and easy to install too.

I just put this very same antenna into my '09 Road Glide and got out for just a few rides with it. So far, I'm unimpressed. I live some distance from most of the major FM stations, so signals are probably a little weak. However, they came in well with the whip and now I'm getting some break-up with the DD antenna.

I'm gonna try a short rubber antenna on the lower rear mount. I measured and an 8-9" antenna should fit below the detachable tourpak, not hit it, and would allow for quick detachment. The question will be how good the reception will be. Most of the feedback I've seen online seems encouraging.

My wifes ultra with the stock antenna works much better then the short rubber model that I have on my classic. But I think her radio worked better than mine even with the stock one on it.

I have this one. I use to recommend it cause it's cheap and easy to install. But to tell you the truth, I rode around for weeks without any antenna and got so so reception. After installing this one I have not noticed any difference. I will not recommend it anymore. Better off saving $20 and using nothing.
